Human Trafficking Policy Attorney, Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA)
Ms. Kominers joined MCASA in March 2017. Prior to joining MCASA, she worked for the Program on Human Rights and the Global Economy. Previously, she worked as a legal fellow at Oxfam America, where she focused on sexual violence against women farmworkers in the United States, and at Human Rights Law Network, where she worked on public interest litigation to improve the reproductive rights of women in India. She was also a legal intern for the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts and a small immigration firm serving low-income clients. Ms. Kominers received her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in January 2016. As the Human Trafficking Policy Attorney at MCASA, Ms. Kominers coordinates the Coordinated Action Against Sex Trafficking (CAAST) program to build statewide capacity to provide services to survivors of sex trafficking. She also provides direct legal representation to sex trafficking survivors at MCASA’s Sexual Assault Legal Institute (SALI).
