Ms. DeLeon began as MCASA’s Training and Underserved Populations Fellow in February 2018. Prior to joining MCASA, she graduated from the University of Maryland’s School of Public Health with a B.S. in Community Health. Most recently, she served as the senior intern for the Director of Prevention at Safe Shores, the Children’s Advocacy Center of the District of Columbia. She also served as the President and Co-Founder of Preventing Sexual Assault (PSA), a student-run advocacy group focused on justice and support for survivors of sexual violence. Through her position at MCASA, Ms. DeLeon is responsible for producing and coordinating training programs for professionals who work with survivors of sexual violence. Additionally, she is responsible for coordinating, developing, and maintaining MCASA’s work to ensure that underserved populations have access to services and justice.
